In 2013, at the age of 22, Katie decided to quit her London office job and jump full time into professional illustration.
She launched her first fine art print and card collection later that year, which has developed into the prolific and successful range of illustrated gifts and homewares you can see today!
Two retail stores, a permanent studio, and many glasses of wine later, Katie still designs and curates each and every product and absolutely adores the entire process. Now surrounded by a team of brilliant women headed up by Emma Marsh, Katie’s joint director, the Katie Cardew dream has become a busy and thriving business.
With an ever growing list of stockists across the UK and beyond, Katie’s collections of bright, illustration-led products are sure to bring joy and colour to your store!
Katie designs and curates each and every product – from an idea in her head, she then draws out the designs, scans them onto her iMac and finally uses them to design the products, from small greeting cards right up to epic tableware sets!
Every product is trialled and tested to make sure that not only the illustrations look amazing, but also they stand up to use in a busy household.
We use UK manufactures where possible, alongside a few carefully chosen international suppliers – all of whom we have met in person and got to know well. Many of our manufacturers are local to us (we often pop in for a cuppa and a nosy to see how our order is coming along!)
We are a small business but a mighty one – there are real people behind every process – from making our products to packaging them up to ship to you.

It is very important to us that our products are built to last and are both beautiful and useful. We use minimal plastic in our packaging and the majority of our packaging is recyclable.
